What is Roadside Assistance?

We've got your back. Roadside Assistance is a support service available during your trip to help you handle common emergencies — flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, running out of fuel, towing, and more. Think of it as your safety net whenever something unexpected happens on the road.

When You Can Use It

You can request Roadside Assistance at any time during your active booking if:

  • You get a flat tire and can't safely swap to a working one
  • Your battery dies
  • You lock yourself out / lose your keys
  • You run out of fuel
  • The vehicle becomes non-drivable and needs towing
  • A mechanical breakdown (that's covered by our assistance terms)
Note: If the issue falls outside those categories, or is caused by misuse or neglect, it might not be eligible.

How to Request Help

Follow these steps to get assistance:

1.

Pull over safely

Turn on hazard lights. Stay off the road if possible and stay safe.

2.

Reach out to support team via call

Contact us through our support channels. Visit our contact page for the most up-to-date contact information.

3.

We send a provider

One of our partner service technicians will be dispatched. We'll let you know when they're on the way.

4.

Stay available and follow their guidance

They may need more info, or coordinate with you on access or how best to do the repair/assist.

5.

Let us know when the issue is fixed

You're back on the road!

Roadside Service Costs

All trips include 24/7 roadside assistance for mechanical issues and accidents at no additional charge.

For non-mechanical issues, roadside services are available upon request for additional cost. These services include:

  • Flat tire change
  • Fuel delivery
  • Jump-start
  • Lockout service
  • Tire inflation
  • Towing (for issues such as a dead battery in an electric vehicle, lost keys, or a flat tire that can't be repaired or replaced with a spare)

Service Costs

Guests are responsible for the cost of non-mechanical roadside services:

  • Up to $199 for most services
  • Up to $399 for towing
Note: Flat tires caused by accidents or vandalism are also the guest's responsibility during the trip.

Payment and Security Deposit

If you request roadside service for a non-mechanical issue, we'll charge your payment method on file for the applicable cost once the service is completed.

  • If your payment method fails and you've paid a security deposit, we reserve the right to use that deposit to cover the service costs.
  • We'll always try to keep things transparent—if there's a possibility of extra cost, we'll let you know.

After the Incident

Once the roadside assistance is complete:

  • Resume your trip if it's safe to do so
  • We'll log the service for record and quality checks
  • If there are extra charges, we'll inform you per our terms
  • If the car can't be fixed in time, we may help arrange a replacement or help you end the trip properly

Tips & Best Practices

To help prevent issues and be prepared:

  • Before your trip: inspect the tires, battery, fuel level
  • Know where the spare tire, jack, and tools are (if provided)
  • Keep your phone charged and have emergency contact numbers ready
  • Report issues early—don't wait until the situation worsens
Emergency Contact: If you're in immediate danger or have been in an accident, call emergency services (911) first, then contact our roadside assistance team.
*Tip: Save our roadside assistance number in your phone before starting your trip for quick access in case of emergency.*
